this never-ending violence
Philadelphia, USA • Da Vinci Art Alliance • 704 Catharine S
March 2025

This exhibition is about gun violence in Philadelphia—an ongoing crisis that claims lives, inflicts direct and indirect trauma, and leaves individuals, families, and communities in a perpetual state of mourning. Made in response to Towsley’s two years of living in Philadelphia, this never-ending violence is an acknowledgment of loss, an attempt to hold space for grief, and a confrontation with the dynamics of safety, privilege, and vulnerability.
